The entire crypto industry is still reconciled and all trades are settled in US DOLLARS. The generally accepted and universally recognized digital equivalent of dollars is called USDT, commonly called "Tether". It is a digital coin - kinda like Bitcoin - that's always worth ~$1.00.
When someone asks "what's Bitcoin worth?", the answer is always in dollars. Those dollars, in the digital realm, are known as USDT or Tether.
Today, USDC is a popular alternative (especially in the USA) to Tether. It's made my Circle, a publicly-traded US regulated financial institution, and treated like "cash" on Coinbase.
So when we're talking about digital dollars, we're talking USDT. Or USDC.
